A family and love story since 1988
In 1976, Mr. Yves Paré founded the very first professional training school in alternative therapies in Quebec. 12 years later, his daughter Véronique, a true health care enthusiast, took over the reins of the family business and developed online courses in Massage Therapy and Orthotherapy in 2003. Since then, students from all over the world have had the opportunity to learn at a distance and perfect their skills in this field.

School’s foundation
Yves Paré founded the first professional training school in alternative therapies in Quebec in 1976.
Growth of the Academy
It was in 1992 that Véronique Paré met Raynald Côté. Both passionate about this field, they invested all their energy in the growth of the Academy.
First hydrotherapy course
In 1997, the duo launched the first hydrotherapy course in Canada, which marked the arrival of spas as we know them today.
The first interactive course on the internet
In 2004, the idea of putting their theoretical courses online led them to create the first interactive course on the Internet in the field of massage therapy, making the Academy the first school in North America to offer its training online.
The arrival of the athletic therapy course, unique in Canada
The year 2008 will mark the arrival of the athletic massage therapy course which is also unique in Canada with its 1000 hours of training dedicated to active people, sportsmen and athletes.
The 25th anniversary of the Academy
In September 2013, the Académie de Massage et d’Orthothérapie celebrated its 25th anniversary.
A noteworthy association
A beautiful association with NordiK Spa-Nature which gives scholarships to our students in order to allow them to continue their training and specialize.
The 30th anniversary of the Academy
The Académie de Massage et d’ Orthothérapie is proud to celebrate its 30th anniversary.
And in February 2018 all of our continuing education courses are launched on the 100% online portal.
